3. Logical Dilemmas

The sequence, Do less. No strings. ... With it! With it! Stashed around. ... Nothing urgent. ... Try not to be too happy. ... keeps you from getting stuck on the horns of a dilemma by effectively allowing you seize both horns. The deeper understanding is to see people use less than rigorous reasoning when they're using you to get warmth. For instance,

"You always do that!" "Do less. No strings."

"The movie was a little sad at the end." "With it! With it! Stashed around."

"I'm wrong again!I It's all my fault!" "Nothing urgent."

"Are you smiling at me or with me?" "Try not to be too happy."

The verbal tool, "Stashed around" allows your true feelings to shine through and become apparent ... For some reason, you don't hear it very much ... Maybe that'll change.

"Don't be a girl!" "Do less. No strings. —Because the Red Sox lost."

"Do you love me?" "Do less. No strings. —Remember that."

People use rhetorical fallacies to accomplish something. They're trying to trick you into being a child, a stooge, a parent, or fool. You have another choice. You can institutionalize them. If you step back and touch their mind a certain way, you can implicitly allow them to give warmth to themselves. Then almost by accident, you can give warmth to each other.
