26.  I thought it would be fun to come up with symbols for certain disruptive comebacks for tricking people into getting real. The first ($$$$$) has to do with effusive praise; the second (%%%%) has to do with false camaraderie or "mystical" alliances with the dead; the third ( [         ] ) has to do with weird hints or suggestions, often containing the trigger word, "should"; the fourth (%@&#) has to do with bogus nicknames; the fifth (||||||||||||) has to do with their trying to "stake out" a pointless argument, the only real point being they're complete idiots; the sixth (//////////) has to do with fallacious restatements of something you said; and the seventh (@@@) is for anything left over.

Maybe better!

%%%%

Socially challenged.

[         ]

Wide open!

$@&#

And everything!

||||||||||||

Nothing complicated.

//////////

Something different.

@@@

At best.

Here's an example of the 1st: "You have a good aesthetic sense." You hear the word "you" and respond, "—Maybe better!" Here's an example of the 2nd: "I'm going to a meeting where they're going to obfuscate your friend Gurdjieff." You hear the word "friend" and respond, "—Socially challenged." (One-sided relationships with dead people are a grave mistake!) Here's an example of the 3rd: "You should open a school for diplomats!" You hear the word "should" and respond, "—Wide open!" Here's an example of the 4th: "We're a little greedy, aren't we, Mr. Big?" You hear the word "we're" and respond, "—And everything!" Here's an example of the 5th: "I think a person should have responsibility!" You hear them innocently "stake out" a cunning premise for an incendiary or moronic argument (to get you going!) and instead you respond, "—Nothing complicated." Here's an example of the 6th: "There are three types of people ... [blah, blah, blah] ... What type of person are you?" You hear the word "type" and respond, "—Something different." Here's an example of the 7th: "Can I get a woo-woo?" You hear the word "woo-woo" and respond, "—At best."
