Hypnotism is actually kind of interesting. First you acquire someone's attention, second you fixate it, third you hold their attention as you start making suggestions. Milton Erickson could hypnotize a person in a single sentence. You don't even have to be in a trance … "You don't have to go into a trance, so you can easily wonder about what you notice no faster than you feel ready to become aware that your hand is slowly rising ...." I think you have to be kind of at the end of your rope. |
